On a chilly day in February, Glennis and Helen travelled to London to attend the official launch of the Great British Spring Clean 2023 - an annual 'call to arms' for communities and companies to take practical action to rid the places we live of the scourge of litter.
Hosted by Kim Leadbeater MP, the Keep Britain Tidy Group and a couple of Wombles, the event was held in the terrace pavilion at the Houses of Parliament. We missed our chance for a selfie with Uncle Bulgaria, but we did meet some other #LitterHeroes and heard their inspiring stories of tackling litter and raising awareness in their communities.
Linton FROG are running a litter pick on Sunday 26th (10am - 2pm) at Linton Village Hall as part of the Great British Spring Clean, and have pledged to pick at least 20 bags of litter. We hope to see you there!
